Sensory Integration Training Program

Unlock the principles of Sensory Integration and understand its vital role in improving an individual’s overall functioning and well-being.

Understand Sensory Processing. Learn Practical Strategies. Make a Difference.

About Program

Sensory integration is the brain's process of receiving sensory information, interpreting and organizing it, comparing it with other incoming and previously stored information, and using that information to help an individual respond appropriately to the environment. SI Brochure Aruna

This training provides a structured introduction to sensory integration concepts and their practical application.

The programme is presented in a clinical and educational context, with emphasis on understanding sensory processing, assessment, planning, intervention, and advanced concepts.

About Sensory Integration

The Sensory Integration Training Programme is designed to help parents, therapists, educators, healthcare professionals, and caregivers understand how the brain receives, processes, organizes, and responds to sensory information.

The programme introduces the principles of sensory integration and sensory processing, helping participants understand how sensory experiences can influence behaviour, attention, learning, communication, participation, and everyday functioning. SI Brochure Aruna

Through structured online learning, expert-led sessions, practical case discussions, and intervention-oriented learning, participants develop a stronger understanding of sensory processing difficulties and ways to support individuals in home, school, therapy, and community settings.

Programme Curriculum

The programme is divided into 4 structured modules, covering important concepts related to Sensory Integration.

This module introduces the foundations of sensory integration and the neurological processes involved in sensory processing.

Key areas include:

  • Introduction to Sensory Integration

  • Sensory processing and the brain

  • Understanding sensory systems

  • Neuroscience foundations

  • Sensory information processing

  • Relationship between sensory processing and functional behaviour

Module 2 — Sensory Integration: Assessment & Abnormal Development

This module focuses on understanding sensory processing difficulties and the principles of assessment.

Key areas include:

  • Understanding sensory processing difficulties

  • Sensory assessment

  • Identifying sensory challenges

  • Developmental considerations

  • Abnormal sensory development

  • Functional impact of sensory processing difficulties

Module 3 — Sensory Integration: Planning & Intervention

This module focuses on translating knowledge into practical intervention planning.

Key areas include:

  • Sensory intervention planning

  • Developing appropriate sensory strategies

  • Supporting sensory regulation
